What applications require an I-693 Medical Report?

Submitting a completed and valid I-693 is a crucial requirement for several immigration applications, but the most common application is the Form I-485 Application for Adjustment of Status, otherwise known as an application for legal permanent residency or “green card.”

Previously, the I-693 medical exam was only valid for 2 years from the date it was completed. This meant that if an applicant’s I-693 was more than 2 years old when filing an immigration application, they would need to undergo a new medical exam at additional cost and time.
