James Lamb is a Senior Associate Attorney at Smith Knudson, where he practices in the areas of immigration law, federal litigation, and criminal defense. He has represented clients before various federal government agencies and in state and federal court. He has a particular interest in the overlap between criminal and immigration law, and his experience in this area includes work on criminal postconviction relief cases, immigration appeals, and state misdemeanor and municipal court criminal cases.
James has given numerous presentations and talks on immigration-related subjects to groups and organizations including the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Denver Public Libraries, the Asian Pacific Development Center, and Aurora Mental Health.
Before graduating from the University of Colorado Law School in 2010, James spent ten years living and working in Japan, and he speaks Japanese. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and renovating his house.
